10:00 to 10:45 AM (PT) – Neobaba Wisdom Presents: Learn a Psalom
Facilitator Ellie Davidoff, along with NeoBaba Wisdom creators Natasha Jmieff and Garry Tarasoff, welcome families with young children (under 10 years) to connect with friends, develop new relationships, and learn how to recite a traditional Doukhobor psalom.
11:00 to 11:45 AM (PT) – Community from a Distance: A Historical Perspective
This presentation by Jonathan Kalmakoff examines Doukhobor history in Russia and early Canada and the challenges created by distance in creating and maintaining community.
2:00 to 2:45 PM (PT) – Memories of a Doukhobor Life
Author Vera Maloff presents her book, “Our Backs Warmed by the Sun: Memories of a Doukhobor Life”.
3:00 to 3:45 PM (PT) – Doukhobor Prayers: A Psalm Panel
Join our five-person panel as they each present a different psalom and discuss what it means to them.
4:00 to 4:45 PM (PT) – Chai & Chat
What does “growing our community from a distance” mean to you? Facilitator Wendy Voykin will lead this audience-driven discussion around the Festival theme.

Sunday, May 23, 2021
9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (PT) – Moleniye / Prayer Meeting
Our moleniye, or prayer meeting, will be led by the USCC Spiritual Cultural Development Committee. Please login between 9:30 and 10:00 AM to greet participants and receive tech. support. The moleniye will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Women are asked to please wear a shawl, or headscarf, if possible.
Couples will then receive a traditional Doukhobor marital blessing, before we conclude the 74th Annual USCC Union of Youth Festival with closing remarks and an open discussion.
