Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Brilliant Cultural Centre beginning at 10:00 a.m. The family invites family and friends to join them as they send John on his final journey.

Ed Strelive
It is with very heavy hearts the family of Ed Strelive announces his passing on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the age of 72. Ed is survived by his two daughters and four grandchildren, his partner of 13 years Kathie Tarasoff and her family, brother Paul (Elaine) and family, sisters Diane (Mike) Legebokoff and family, Marion (Mike) Therrien and family and many, many friends.
A traditional Doukhobor funeral prayer service will be held for Ed on Thursday, August 15th at the Brilliant Cultural Centre beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Glade cemetery. A luncheon in Ed’s honour will be at the Brilliant Cultural Centre following the burial.
The family invites all those who knew Ed to join them on that morning.

Helen Tomlin
It is with heavy hearts the family of Helen Tomlin advises of her passing on June 23, 2019. She is survived by her three children – Debra, Luba and Mike.
All friends and relatives are invited to Helen’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 6th, 11:00 a.m. at the Gospel Chapel (7048 Donaldson Drive) in Grand Forks. A luncheon will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre.
Hazel Kinakin
It is with heavy hearts the family of Hazel Kinakin announces her passing in the early morning hours of June 20, 2019 in Creston, BC. She is survived by daughter Elaine Poznikoff, son Ken and wife Marie Kinakin, son Ed and wife Karen Kinakin, sister Liz and Bill Pepin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Nick Novokshonoff
The family of Nick Novokshonoff of Grand Forks sadly announces that Nick passed away on Wednesday, May 22nd at the Boundary Hospital, just a short three months after his sister Anne Ogloff. Nick was a month shy of his 83rd birthday. He is survived by his immediate relatives, niece Irene (Ogloff) Farris and aunt Helen Horkoff
Traditional Doukhobor funeral prayer services will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre beginning at 10 a.m. The family invites all those who knew Nick to attend. Burial will be at the Sion Cemetery, followed by a lunch back at the centre.

William (Bill) P. Semenoff
It is with deep sadness the family of William (Bill) P. Semenoff announces his passing on Thursday, March 21st in Grand Forks. Bill is the husband of Nellie, father to Bob, Jack and Ron, brother to Sam (Laverne) and Eleanor Hadikin.
The family invites all family and friends to attend a traditional Doukhobor prayer service for Bill, on Monday, March 25th beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre. Burial will be at the Sion cemetery, followed by a luncheon in Bill’s memory.

Natalie Voykin
In celebration, and loving memory of Natalie Voykin who passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019, the family invites you to attend the traditional Doukhobor prayer services on Monday, March 18th at the Brilliant Cultural Centre at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow immediately after the prayer services.
Natalie’s final resting place will be in the Slocan Park cemetery following the luncheon. (The family advises those who will continue to the graveside service in Slocan Park should consider bringing boots that will withstand some mud.)

Wally Rilkoff
It is with heavy hearts the family of Wally Rilkoff (husband and best friend of Marilyn, nee Gorkoff) announces his passing at a young age of 55 from a massive coronary on Wednesday, March 6th.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday, March 16th at the Playmor Junction Church, 2840 Eden Road, South Slocan, BC. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with the service beginning at 10 a.m. Internment will be at the Brilliant Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the Lion’s Head Pub at 2629 Broadwater Road in Robson.

Anne Ogloff
It is with heavy hearts the family of Anne Ogloff announces her passing on Monday, February 18, 2019. Anne is survived by her daughter Irene Farris, her brother Nick Novokshonoff and other close family and friends.
The family would like to invite all those who are able, to a memorial service on Monday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre. A lunch will follow at 12 noon immediately after the memorial service. There will be no burial at this time as it was Anne’s wish to be cremated and her and daughter Donna’s ashes to be buried in Anne’s mom’s (Mary Novokshonoff) grave in the Sion Cemetery.
There will be at viewing at the Grand Forks Funeral home on Sunday, February 24th from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
